Inspections

NEN and SCIOS inspections

What's the difference between NEN1010 and NEN3140?

NEN 1010 is the standard for the safe design, construction and initial testing of a new or modified low-voltage installation. NEN 3140 covers the safe operation and periodic inspection of an installation that's already in service. In short: NEN 1010 checks a new installation, NEN 3140 keeps an existing one safe over time.

What is a SCIOS Scope 8 PI inspection?

SCIOS Scope 8 PI is a periodic inspection focused on the technical condition and safety of your electrical installation, aimed at limiting the risk of defects, short circuits or overload that could cause business disruption or dangerous situations such as fire.

What is a SCIOS Scope 10 inspection?

SCIOS Scope 10 is a fire-risk inspection of existing low-voltage installations, specifically aimed at detecting fire hazards such as overloading, loose connections, outdated wiring or poorly connected distribution boards.

How often do I need a periodic inspection?

This depends on the type of installation, its use and any insurer or legal requirements that apply to your building. We'll advise you on a suitable inspection interval, and can carry out NEN 3140, NEN 1010, SCIOS Scope 8 PI and SCIOS Scope 10 inspections as a recurring annual check.

What do I get after an inspection?

A clear, well-organised report - no unnecessary technical jargon, just practical findings and recommendations, so you know exactly where your installation stands and what, if anything, needs attention.
Installations

Installations and technical management

Can you install an EV charging point for my business?

Yes, charging an electric vehicle draws significant power, so we assess your existing electrical installation and install a charging point sized correctly for your situation, including any required extension of the distribution board.

Do you install home battery storage systems?

Yes, we design and install home battery systems paired with your solar panels, so you can store your own solar energy and use it when you need it rather than feeding it back to the grid.

What kind of security installations do you offer?

We install camera systems and video intercoms, letting you see and speak to visitors at your site, building or home from wherever you are, and open the door remotely if needed.

What is technical management, and do I need it?

Technical management means we act as your ongoing point of contact for the technical state of your electrical installation - from advice and inspections to maintenance and adjustments to your existing installation - so you don't have to manage multiple parties yourself.

Can you digitize our old technical drawings?

Yes, we offer digitalization of electrical and technical drawings, including outsourced drawing work and archive clean-up, acting as an extension of your own drawing office.
